Company Profile

Scott Heffield is a former Physical Training instructor in the Royal Marines. In 1997 he joined the Police Service and during this period he established YTC. Scott had already served operationally worldwide and as a front line Police Officer he gained still further experience in leadership and operational fast time planning before becoming a National Police Trainer. Since then, YTC has grown both in diversity and stature and now offers a range of both specialist training services and expert logistical support. Whilst offering such a skill base, clients are still assured a deep and specialized knowledge in all areas of practice as YTC’s team of consultants and trainers are not only highly qualified but are also hugely experienced within their chosen field.

YTC’s client base is very diverse. We have trained large corporate companies in health and safety, management and leadership training, members of the emergency services in personal safety training, organized and lead adventure training expeditions both in the UK and worldwide and trained individuals and teams in fitness and conditioning. Logistically, we supply and hire specialist items of expedition and mountaineering equipment to individuals and teams and provide specialist logistical support to stunt co coordinators, rope safety teams and TV production companies.

The company’s profile has grown significantly over the past five years and as such, we have been involved in several TV /shows/Documentaries usually with Scott Heffield being depicted as a motivational expert, survival expert or adventurer. YTC also have over 15 years experience working in the TV world behind the scenes in areas such as first aid training, risk assessment and providing safety supervision, rope safety, crew safety and as a safety advisor. He now more commonly works as a lead safety supervisor, journey Mangaer/Producer. Recent shows include, 'Mission Survive', 'Running Wild' and 'Bear Grylls Survival School' all part of the very high profile Bear Grylls TV programs.
